Walking is the first of human actions that relates us with space and “Lansdcapes”, is a symbolic construction of the environments that we walk in, a way to understand our relationship with spaces, matter and time. Clay, as a material that comes from the ground we walk on, provides the best results of this experiment. Through walking, a cylinder made from different kinds of clay such as earthenware and stoneware with a potter’s wheel, are transformed with a roller that integrates them.
The contrast from each environment defines “Landscapes.” From the original places of nature to the places we have created today. The first walk took place through the forest, the place where we were originally nomadic. The second walk is in the space of our contemporary society, the city.
